We have many skills that could assist you to progress your project and we have listed a few below to give you a sense of where we may be able to help. Just because what you need is not listed, doesn’t mean we cant provide that service. Please make an enquiry on the form and we will get back to you within 24 hours.
1. Engineering Design & Optimization
Generative Design & Topology Optimization: Using software to reduce weight while maintaining structural integrity.
Part Consolidation: Taking an assembly of 10+ parts and redesigning them into a single 3D-printed component to reduce assembly time and failure points.
Reverse Engineering: Using 3D scanning or manual measurement to recreate obsolete parts or improve existing designs.
2. Prototyping Tiers
Form & Fit Testing: Low-cost FDM prints to check dimensions and ergonomics.
Functional Prototyping: Using engineering-grade materials (Tough engineering resins, Carbon Fibre composites) to test how a part performs under real mechanical stress.
Pre-Production Mockups: High-detail resin or post-processed prints for marketing photos or investor pitches.
3. Tooling and Manufacturing Aids
The evolution of 3D resin printing, in particular the Formlabs form 4B which we have, is able to print small injection molds that can be placed into a block for injection molding to test a design or for short runs without the expensive tooling price tag or overseas uncertainty of mold made outside Australia.
Custom Jigs and Fixtures: Designing ergonomic, lightweight tools for local manufacturing lines to improve speed and safety.
End-of-Arm Tooling (EOAT): Designing custom grippers for robotic arms.
Soft Tooling/Molds: 3D printing molds for urethane casting or silicone molding for short-run production.
4. Consultation & Strategy
Material Selection Consulting: Helping clients navigate the "alphabet soup" of materials (PLA vs. PETG vs. PEEK vs. TPU).
Technical Audits: Reviewing a company’s existing inventory to identify parts that would be cheaper or more efficient to print on-demand (Digital Inventory).
FEA (Finite Element Analysis): Providing digital stress tests on a design before it’s even printed to prove it won’t snap under load.
5. Post-Processing & Finishing
Many 3D printing bureaus stop at the "off the bed" stage however we go above and beyond by offering you a one-stop-shop:
Mechanical Finishing: Tapping threads, prototype assembly or post production finishing.
Protoype packaging including blister molds and vacuum formed blister shells.
